TRACKLIST
Palimpsesto
Recorded live and analogically over three and a half days, ‘Palimpsesto’ responds to a wish to rewrite; it is a self-contained look at shared feelings that have been shaped into an artefact.
Their third release is a departure from the intimist poetry that characterized the two previous pop releases. This change of course veers towards sharp, dissonant new forms. Their present work contains a political response (or else, anti-political response) that is both contemporary and abstract. Frank Rudow’s production and Paco Loco’s deft touch bring in the roughness and spontaneity that permeates through the album.
Undoubtedly a transitional album, this release is a robust piece of work that is built around volume and is close to previous melodic efforts. The risk taken responds to a wish to achieve self-improvement and reach in different directions until coming upon a definitive restatement.
REVIEWS
Alberto Fernández, Octubre 2009 | GO MAG
